Two national surveys recently examined the financial soundness of Traders and Farmers Bank with an Excellent Rating from Bankrate.com and a Superior Rating from Bauer. The five star rating from Bauer is as high as a bank can rate.
Bankrate awarded four stars to T&F Bank after employing a series of 22 tests to measure the capital adequacy, asset quality, profitability and liquidity (known as CAEL) of the financial institution.
Performance levels were determined from publicly available regulatory filings and were compared to asset-size peer norms, industry standards and key absolute benchmarks. The combined results formed the basis for their CAEL and Star Ratings.
Bauer's ratings are based on the same information with a further recommended level achieved with a five-star rating. The five-star rating from Bauer means T&F is safe, financially sound and is operating well above its regulatory capital requirements. Five-star institutions generally have twice the capital required by regulators.
